Wacker Neuson Trench Roller RTD-SC4

The RT trench roller with the SC4 radio controlled remote control offers proven compaction results with safer operation. The smart control uses a radio signal with line-of-sight control. The articulated trench roller with padfoot drums offers below the axle exciter in each drum to allow for the efficient transfer of compaction energy to the soil for superior compaction results. The compaction of excavations and sub bases of foundations, roads and parking lots is the RT’s specialty.

Description

General Specs

  • Operating Weight: 1,495kg
  • Drum Widths: Adjustable between 60 cm and 82 cm. Dual section drums offer this flexibility.

All-in-One Remote Control

  • The operator has complete control of the machine from the remote, allowing the compaction equipment to be operated safely from outside trenches and away from other machinery.
  • A reliable radio connection links the remote control to the machine, while the built-in LCD screen provides clear information on operating status, service reminders and fault codes, helping the operator quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • A proximity sensor between the operator and the machine automatically disables the machine within a range of 2 meters to 20m away in order to operate.

 

Low Exciter Position

  • The below the axle exciter system in each drum allows for more efficient transfer of energy to the soil for superior compaction results.
  • With the exciters positioned below the axle , the center of gravity is also lower which improves the stability of the machine and lowers the risk of the machine tipping over over.
  • As the compaction energy is transferred directly to the soil, the wear of the machine is reduced. This decreases the overall maintenance cost of the machine.

 

Low Maintenance Cost

  • Permanently lubricated exciter and drive systems are maintenance free making it most economical to run throughout its first life. No drive or exciter oil changes are required.
  • All other machine components are easily accessible thanks to the wide opening hoods, which makes cleaning and maintenance an easy daily task.

 

Tip-Over Protection

  • The roller can be set for lockout or non-lockout modes that will shutdown the machine should the side-to-side operating angle exceed 45° and any required inspections or repairs can be performed to avoid any damage to the engine or other components before the machine can be restarted. This feature reduces the chance for costly repairs.
